Born too soon! This is a picture of us just after we arrived home from the hospital. We were born two months prematurely. Matthew weighed 3 lbs. 11 oz. and Mitchell weighed 4 lbs. 2 oz. We were in the hospital for nearly a month and had difficult with breathing and eating. In this picture we were sitting together in a bouncy seat that usually fits one baby!

This picture is an example of how we were developing just fine during our first year of life, even though we had some challenges early on because we were born too soon. We were happy most of the time.

This is a picture of when we were not very interested in playing outside. We were about one and a half here. We would just sit and look at things most of the time. We didn't like being outside and didn't want to play with toys. We were away from the world around us and the surroundings but we both managed to work hard for many years and really change our lives.

This is a picture of us when we were not very interested in people. We weren't having much fun at that time in life. To this day, we still believe it wasn't very fun in those days because we had to go through many therapies. It took a lot of hard work to get to be the people who we are today.

This picture shows how close we have always been as brothers. We have been through something that most people cannot understand or imagine. Thankfully, we always have had each other to count on and push one another.

This is another example of how we have always been there for each other as best friends!

This picture is symbolic. It shows us dressed up as our favorite characters, Woody and Buzz, from Toy Story. Toy Story was very motivating for us. Our parents and therapists used the movies and characters to get us to do things that were difficult like playing with Play Dough and Legos, going outside, and other types of playing. The characters made it more fun and being able to watch the movies after a difficult day of working was pure joy! This is all we wanted to do all of the time back then. Our interests have changed over time. Now, sports are more of the priority.

This is a picture of us with our little sister, Jessie. We named her after the Toy Story character, Jessie the Cowgirl! She is a great sister. We are very lucky to have her for a sister.
